Don’t forget about Cosmic Camporee, Friday, October 13th to Sunday, October 15th. Come out to GHRO for camping, observing, and getting to know your fellow club members. Friday night will be camping and observing, weather permitting, and Saturday we will have corn hole and badminton setup. We will also have the Hydrogen Alpha Solar Telescope up and running to view the partial Solar Eclipse from GHRO.
RV places are available, as well as plenty of area for tent camping.
At 5pm on Saturday, we will be serving hamburgers and hotdogs, and welcome club members to bring a side dish or dessert. Please contact Rick Bassham, GHRO Director at ghro@charlotteastronomers.org to RSVP and let him know what dishes you may be bringing.
Saturday night weather is looking promising for great observing under a new moon.
